Professional Membership

The Royal Statistical Society is a professional body for statisticians and a significant part of our work relates to the professional membership.

Members with suitable qualifications and professional training and experience can apply for our professional award of Chartered Statistician (CStat). Members with suitable qualifications but who do not yet have the necessary training and experience can apply for Graduate Statistician (GradStat) status.

Chartered Statisticians are eligible to apply for Chartered Scientist (CSci) status; the RSS is a Licensed Body for this award from the Science Council.

An important service to our professional membership is the support we offer for Continuing Professional Development.
