Membership
The Royal Statistical Society provides a forum for all who are engaged in or sympathetic to the discipline and profession of statistics. At present the Society has over 7000 members, about a quarter of whom live outside the UK.
The Society's members come from a variety of professional backgrounds; some are users of statistics, some statisticians practising in industry, commerce, government, education or research, while others are in full-time education. The Society is sensitive to the particular needs of all its members, and therefore offers a range of different types of membership.
