The Royal Statistical Society provides a forum for all who are engaged in or sympathetic to the discipline and profession of statistics. At present the Society has over 7000 members, about a quarter of whom live outside the UK.
The Society's members come from a variety of professional backgrounds; some are users of statistics, some statisticians practising in industry, commerce, government, education or research, while others are in full-time education. The Society is sensitive to the particular needs of all its members, and therefore offers a range of different types of membership.
The Society also offers a range of benefits that include:
Our news and opinion website StatsLife, magazine Significance and an option of three Journals
Discounts to meetings, courses and conferences
Access to the Fellows' Suite at Society Headquarters
These benefits, and others, are explored in greater detail in this section of the site.
