‘Continuing professional development – how to make it effective’.
Speaker: Trevor Lewis, Chair of RSS Professional Affairs Committee
Trevor will give a brief presentation putting continuing professional development (CPD) in the context of professionalism, career progression and the Society’s CPD Policy.
This will be an interactive meeting with participants both sharing their successes and gaining insights into how to improve the effectiveness of their professional development.
CPD was one of the most popular topics identified in the 2011 Professional Members Survey and so we expect demand to be high. Although there is no charge for the meeting, it is necessary to pre-register by e-mail. Note that this meeting is only open to holders of CStat (including MIS and FIS) and GradStat status.
Refreshments: Tea and coffee from 1.30pm
