Classification of malt whiskies – and tasting thereof
David uses multivariate analysis to classify single malt whiskies on a profile of ten cardinal flavours. He will present a new flavour chart compiled for over 250 single malt whiskies by principal component analysis, and discuss his program Whisky Analyst used to classify new products. The talk will be illustrated by a tasting of malts that span the full flavour spectrum.
The meeting will be preceded by the AGM of the group at 5.45pm
