The Future of Statistics in our Schools and Colleges

On 19th January 2012 the RSS, with support from the Actuarial Profession, published an important report by education specialist Roger Porkess:  The Future of Statistics in our Schools and Colleges.

The research and recommendations focus on the ways statistics is taught and learnt in schools and colleges in England, with some evidence drawn from Wales and Northern Ireland.

The aim of the report, and the underlying research, is to provide an evidence base for the further development of the statistics provision in our schools and colleges.

A PDF version of the report can be downloaded here.
