GradStat notes for guidance

Full details of the criteria for Graduate Statistician (GradStat) status can be found in the notes for guidance. All potential applicants should read and understand these notes, which are designed to assist in deciding whether or not to apply. In summary, at least one of the following three criteria must be met. Please note that this is only a summary; full details are in the notes for guidance.

  • A good UK Honours degree (Class I or II) and/or an appropriate Higher Degree in Statistics or a subject containing substantial coverage of statistical theory, methods and practice
  • An appropriate overseas degree (in some cases an MSc will be necessary) in Statistics or a subject containing substantial coverage of statistical theory, methods and practice
  • The Graduate Diploma of the Royal Statistical Society or the Institute of Statisticians.
