Examinations registration forms

The procedures and deadlines for registering for our professional examinations are set out in the general "guide to examinations" (Ex1) that is available on the main documents page. You MUST read that guide before registering so that you understand what to do.

Candidates paying their fees by credit or debit card should register using our online registration facility.

If you wish to pay by cheque or bank draft or require us to invoice your employer for the fee, you will need to complete a paper-based registration form. There are different registration forms depending on whether you are already a Fellow of the Society.

The very large majority of people entering our examinations are not already Fellows. For them, the process of registering for the examinations includes registering as an "Examination Associate" of the Society, which gives the right to enter the examinations. This is all done as a single process in a "one-stop shop". You need to download registration form Ex40. This is the form that nearly all candidates will need.

If however you are already a Fellow of the Society, you need instead to download registration form Ex41.

There are also various types of "associate membership" of the Society, some of which confer the right to enter the examinations. If you hold a membership of this type, please contact us (email to exams@rss.org.uk) and enquire about your position.
