How to locate job vacancies for biometricians

The best places to find job vacancies are electronic mailing lists (particularly Allstat), the newsletter RSS NEWS of the Royal Statistical Society which is issued monthly to all members of the Society, and New Scientist. Some international jobs are published in the Biometric Bulletin, which is issued quarterly to members of the International Biometric Society. Jobs are also listed on websites of organisations involved in biological research and development, including BBSRC, MRC and NERC institutes, government agencies and universities. Nearly all jobs are in the public sector. The usual job title is 'Statistician'.
