STATISTICS SUPPLIERS AND USERS GROUP (StatSUG)

 

Purpose

To provide a forum for engagement at a strategic level between producers and non central government users of official statistics
 

Functions  

  • Monitoring of progress on issues that cut across departmental/theme boundaries (eg communication strategy; and the Statistics User Forum’s priorities of UK-wide data; data access and dissemination; disclosure control; and geographical coding;)
  • Ensuring that user engagement is effective across the GSS, including within the Theme structure, and consideration of any issues arising from that engagement that have wider implications
  • Providing general feedback from users on the strategic priorities adopted by the GSS (eg through the National Statistician’s Statement).
  • Formulating strategy for implementing any relevant actions arising from any Monitoring and Assessment Reports, eg ‘Strengthening the User Voice’.

                       Members of the Statistics User Executive
                       Director General for ONS
 
Secretariat:     National Statistician’s Office

The chairs may invite others to attend specific meetings or agenda items as appropriate.
