Audit and Risk Committee
The Audit and Risk Committee oversees all systems, controls and processes that may have an impact on the Society’s ability to meet its objectives. It is a sub-committee of the Council and meets twice a year, reporting directly back to Council. The Committee ensures that effective external audit functions and adequate risk management processes are in place, as well as ensuring that the Society is complying with all aspects of the law, relevant regulations and good practice. The Committee also provides oversight of the Society's investment managers. Members are appointed by the Council and consist of at least three Council members.
