The RSS Glasgow Local Group are delighted to host Professor Sir Ian Diamond who will discuss the role of a national statistics institute during a pandemic.

This event will be delivered via Zoom

In September of last year, the National Statistician, Professor Sir Ian Diamond presented the work of the Office for National Statistics to understand the prevalence of COVID-19 in the community, and its impact on society and the economy. In this talk, Sir Ian will provide an update on how ONS has continued to inform the government response to the pandemic by evaluating the impact of government interventions, providing timely insights on the course of the pandemic and its impact on long term health of those infected as well as public opinion on immunisation in light of the Government’s vaccine roll out.

This event will be delivered via Zoom.
